Green Juice

Hey guys! So last week I tried to make my very own green juice. I find that vegetables are the best food to juice, they are just as nutritious as fruit but have less sugar and fewer calories than a fruit juice. Pulpy vegetable juice is actually better because it contains a lot of fiber. Juice made with only vegetables might not be palatable to most people, so you might want to add some fruit, it will definitely mask the taste of the veggies so it’s easier to deal with. You just want to be mindful of how much fruit juice you’r drinking since fruit juice is high in sugar and contains a lot of calories. Raw green juice is used to promote glowing skin, gives you energy, helps weight loss and digestion, and alkalinity and immunity.

I enjoyed the one I made but since this was the first green juice I have ever made there is always room for improvement.

Raw Green Juice

ingredients:

  • 5 granny smith apples
  • 5 long kale leaves
  • 1-2 inches of ginger (I used only one, I find ginger to be too strong for me)
  • Place all of the ingredients in a juicer (I will show you guys mine in another post) and juice/blend and enjoy!

Serves about 2 big glasses
