Vanilla Oikos greek yogurt, with raspberries, and granola! …best breakfast ever, after morning coffee of course. I’ve tried various types of greek yogurt, they all taste differently, but I have to say that Oikos is my favorite, and it doesn’t help that John Stamos is a spokesperson….(who doesn’t love him!)
Fun facts…Greek Yogurt: I know it’s March and that means cut out dairy…but I love it!!! I decided to make March my Greek yogurt month. I’m trying to use this magical decadent yogurt in various dishes. And what’s great it that it’s somehow low carb, low fat, is healthier and has more protein than regular yogurt! But plain regular yogurt is still healthy in it’s own right, and if you don’t like the taste of Greek yogurt, than regular yogurt can still be part of a healy diet. As always their are some downsides to everything, so before you buy any Greek yogurt make sure you read the ingredients and nutritional label before you make your decision.
How Its made: this Mediterranean devilishly delicious yogurt is extensively strained to remove most of the liquid, lactose, and sugar. Which gives it its thick consistency, most yogurts have an almost runny texture, or have a liquid on top. Greek yogurts don’t have this because of how much they are strained. But as always their are always some downsides to everything, so before you buy any Greek yogurt make sure you read the ingredients and nutritional label before you make your decision!! 🙂
